Western Michigan Distributors (WMD) was formed in 1983 primarily as a Manitowoc Ice Machine distributor for the western half of Michigan. In November of 1999 WMD expanded their territory to include the eastern half of Michigan and changed their name to Greater Michigan Distributors (GMD).
Today, GMD has two locations in Michigan. GMD West is located in Comstock Park, and GMD East is located in Clinton Township. Both facilities stock equipment and parts, and offer deliveries.
GMD is the exclusive distributor for Manitowoc Ice, Everpure, Servend/Multiplex, and Koolaire.
